The countdown to our biggest event is almost over. On Saturday 27th June, fitness lovers from across our network will gather at Topnotch Gyms Soho for the big day. If you are stepping onto the gym floor to compete, you need to know exactly what to expect. With this in mind, we spoke to Tom Ward, Gym Manager at Topnotch Gyms Soho, to find out everything competitors need to know ahead of the big day.
Soho is the perfect venue for this year's Inter-Club Challenge. Tom Ward said: "We're incredibly proud to host this year's Inter-Club Challenge at Soho. As the club that relaunched the Topnotch brand, it's a special opportunity to welcome competitors from across the network and showcase everything the club has to offer." Because of this, it is only right that we host the challenge in one of the best world cities when it comes to health and fitness. Get ready for a day of teamwork, big efforts, and amazing energy!
Bringing Your Supporters to Soho
You are very welcome to bring friends and family along to watch the action and cheer you on. Your guests do not need a special visitor pass code or a ticket to enter and participate in the day. Tom explained: "We want the atmosphere to feel welcoming and supportive, so friends and family are more than welcome to come along and cheer competitors on throughout the event." Instead, we have a simple sign-in at reception to facilitate everyone who arrives.
We do not expect a massive group of spectators, which means the atmosphere will feel very close and supportive. As a result, having your friends nearby will bring excellent vibes to help you push through your tough exercises.
Easy Public Transport Routes to the Club
Firstly, planning your journey early is a smart way to stay calm before the competition. Please note that there are no parking options at the club because we are right in the heart of London. Therefore, using public transport is the easiest route for visiting teams.
Fortunately, the venue has fantastic tube links. The nearest tube stations are Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus, and Piccadilly Circus. Each of these stations is around a ten-minute walk to the club doors. Give yourself plenty of time to travel so you can arrive feeling relaxed and ready to move.
Standard Gym Rules and Premium Recovery
Importantly, when you are packing your kit bag, you do not need to worry about strange equipment rules. Standard gym trainers are required for all participants on the gym floor to keep everyone safe. Just wear your favourite clean training shoes and comfortable athletic clothing.
Furthermore, you can look forward to a premium post-workout recovery routine. The changing rooms, showers, and saunas will be fully available for all athletes to use. According to Tom: "Recovery is an important part of the day, so we're pleased that competitors will be able to make full use of our changing rooms, showers and sauna facilities once they've finished competing." This means you can wash away the sweat and relax your tired muscles right after you finish your final workout block. Free Goodies and Fuel for Attendees
Staying hydrated and fed is key when you are pushing your physical limits. The Soho team has some great surprises ready for you. Tom said: "We've put together a few extras for competitors to help make the day even more enjoyable. From refreshments to nutrition goodies, we want everyone to feel looked after from the moment they arrive."
These snacks will help keep your energy high between your hard efforts. You are also welcome to bring your own favourite sports nutrition or tape if you have a specific setup you like to use.
