The preparation phase is over. After three weeks of precision training across the Power, Engine, and Recovery pillars, we have arrived at the final stage of the MOVE campaign. Welcome to Week 4: HYBRID Week.

This is the ultimate consolidation of your athletic performance. It is the week where we bridge the gap between individual disciplines to prepare you for the highest level of competition: the Summer Inter-Club Challenge.

Save the Date: The Summer Inter-Club Challenge

In June 2026, our Topnotch Gyms locations will go head-to-head in a test of pure grit and athleticism at Topnotch Gyms Soho. The event features a 40-minute "Hybrid" race split into two clinical phases: ENGINE and BURN. Competing in teams, you will push for maximum reps and distance across 5-minute intervals to secure points for your home club. To ensure the highest level of performance, we will be running pre-event heats to select the athletes who will represent their club in this final showdown.

The Hybrid Advantage

In high-performance conditioning, a hybrid athlete is one who refuses to compromise. You have built the explosive power needed for anaerobic bursts and the cardiovascular engine required for sustained output. Now, you must learn to integrate them.

Hybrid training is about metabolic flexibility. It is the ability of your body to switch between energy systems efficiently. During the Summer Inter-Club Challenge, those who have mastered this hybrid routine will be the ones who can maintain peak power output even when their heart rate is in the red zone.

The Hybrid 5: Your Final Assessment

To ensure your systems are primed for the competition, we have developed The Hybrid 5. This routine is a high-intensity circuit that combines the most demanding elements of the previous three weeks. Pick up your Challenge Card at reception to follow the specific targets for each stage:

  1. Row (The HIIT Entry): Designed to spike the heart rate immediately and test your power under pressure.
  1. Kettlebell Goblet Squats (The Power): Develops the strength-endurance required for the final stages of the race.
  1. Run OR  Bike (The Engine): The definitive cardiovascular test and the heart of the Summer Challenge.
  1. Mountain Climbers (The Finisher): Challenges core stability and mental resolve with a final metabolic burn.
  1. Guided Stretch (The Recovery): Facilitates a rapid shift to a restorative state to begin the repair process.

Pick up your Hybrid 5 challenge card at reception and use it as your final assessment. It is designed to test your transitions, your recovery under fire, and your mental resilience. This is your chance to fine-tune your strategy before you represent your club in the inter-club arena.
